Welcome to El Coquí Panadería y Repostería. These Terms and Conditions govern all catering and custom cake orders placed through our website, by phone, or in person. By placing an order with us, you agree to the policies outlined below. We encourage you to read them carefully before finalizing any order.
At El Coquí, every item is made to order with the freshest ingredients and the highest standards of quality. A 50% deposit is required to secure any order, with the remaining balance due no later than five (5) days before the event date. Orders not paid in full by this deadline may be cancelled without refund. Cancellations made within five days of the event are non-refundable, while cancellations made prior to that period will incur a 20% service fee deducted from the deposit.
All modifications, including changes to menu items, guest count, or delivery time, must be requested at least five (5) days prior to the scheduled event. We cannot guarantee any changes requested after that time. Delivery and setup services are available for an additional fee based on distance and event size. Utensils and serving equipment are offered upon request and charged separately. Customers must ensure that someone is present to receive the order at the agreed-upon time and location.
El Coquí is not liable for food once it has been delivered or picked up. Proper storage and serving are the responsibility of the customer. We are not responsible for issues resulting from improper handling or storage after delivery. In addition, our kitchen may handle common allergens such as nuts, dairy, wheat, and eggs. Customers are advised to confirm any guest allergies prior to ordering, as we cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment.
All serving equipment offered by El Coquí is available at a separate cost and, if rented, must be returned in the same condition in which it was received. Clients are responsible for any damage or loss to rental items. Prices are subject to change without notice due to market conditions; however, confirmed orders with deposits will be honored at the quoted price.
El Coquí reserves the right to photograph custom cakes and catered events for marketing and promotional purposes, including use on social media and our website. Client names and personal information will not be disclosed without consent. El Coquí shall not be held responsible for delays or cancellations caused by circumstances beyond our control, including severe weather, power outages, or transportation disruptions. No refunds will be issued for orders not picked up or missed after business closing hours.
Clients are responsible for providing accurate information regarding event details, addresses, and delivery times. El Coquí is not liable for problems arising from incorrect or incomplete details. All communication regarding orders, changes, or cancellations must be made in writing via our official email or text line to ensure proper documentation.
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the City of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. By placing an order with El Coquí Panadería y Repostería, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions in full.
At El Coquí Panadería y Repostería, we take great pride in the quality, authenticity, and freshness of our Puerto Rican cuisine, baked goods, and catering services. Each order is prepared with care and made to order. Because our products are perishable and custom-made, all sales are final.
We do not accept returns, exchanges, or cancellations once an order has been prepared or delivered. This policy applies to all in-store, phone, and online orders.
If an error occurs on our part — such as an incorrect item or a missing portion of your order — please contact us within 24 hours of receiving your order. We will gladly review the matter and, if verified, issue a replacement or store credit at our discretion. Please note that cash refunds are not offered.
All food is handled with the highest standards of quality and safety. Once items leave our premises or are delivered, El Coquí is not responsible for how food is handled, stored, or consumed. Refunds or credits cannot be issued based on taste preferences or improper storage after delivery or pickup.
For catering and custom cake orders, deposits are non-refundable within five (5) days of the event date. Cancellations made prior to this period are subject to a 20% service fee, deducted from the deposit. Missed pickups or arrivals after business closing hours will not be eligible for refunds.
